Join us for the inaugural MN Drone Day Community Event, presented by MnDOT Aeronautics at Blackhawk Middle School in Eagan, MN. Grab a delicious bite from one of the food trucks and make your way to the athletic fields for outdoor drone demonstrations. The Academy of Model Aeronautics will kick off the event on the main stage with a discussion about hobby drone flying.

Headlining the event will be Kevin Morris from the FAA, who will discuss the types of
UAS operations allowed in the National Airspace system (NAS), UAS regulations,
requirements, and best practices. Kevin will also host a Q&A session immediately
following his presentation.

Stay for FPV flying, tiny whoop racing, educational sessions and visit with local drone
organizations, hobby shops, and flying clubs at our vendor booths. Try your hand at
flying one of the tiny whoops, or the flight simulator provided by Air Bears, a non-profit
search and rescue organization. Learn about the newest in drone technology, meet with
hobby and racing organizations, industry experts and speak with leading drone
professionals.

This event is open to current and aspiring drone pilots of all ages and experience levels.
